Amundi/BNY integrate platforms for front-to-back service

Amundi has integrated its Alto portfolio management system – a potential challenger to the leading BlackRock Aladdin platform – with the securities servicing platform of BNY Mellon.

The firms say the “transatlantic” collaboration will power the growth of both companies by allowing new integration points between them.

BNY Mellon’s Omni platform combined with Alto will deliver a front-to-back office service and deliver an “automated and simplified workflow throughout the investment cycle of securities held in portfolios”, the firms said.

Yves Perrier, chief executive officer of Amundi (who previously spoke to Funds Europe about Alto), said: “Amundi has always considered technology as a key differentiating factor in the asset management industry, and as such we have consistently developed our own capabilities together with our top-quality teams. For the last three years, Amundi has extended these capabilities to our partner clients. This alliance with a leading financial institution such as BNY Mellon will help us access new markets,  and expand our geographic coverage.”
