Amundi appoints deputy head of equities

Amundi has promoted Alexandre Drabowicz to deputy head of equities, a newly created role.

Drabowicz was previously head of investment specialists, a position held since 2014.

He reports to Diego Franzin who was co-head of Amundi’s equity investment platform, but now leads it since Romain Boscher moved to Fidelity Investments earlier this month.

Earlier in his career, Drabowicz worked in portfolio management at Paris hedge fund Systeia Capital Management between 2001 and 2008, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amundi, as head of trading.

Franzin, meanwhile, came to Amundi through its acquisition of Pioneer Investments, which completed last year. He was head of equity Europe overseeing quantitative and fundamental investment processes for Pioneer, a role he had held since 2011.
