Aegon Asset Management has expanded its responsible investment team to 12 people with three hires.
Rebecca Dreyfus, one of the hires, has a background in client relations and sales and is now a senior engagement associate at Aegon AM. Most recently she was at Sustainalytics as a client relations manager.
Stephanie Mooij is also a senior engagement associate and prior to completing a PhD in environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing at Oxford University, she was an equity portfolio analyst at Ownership Capital, which included ESG stock analysis.
Thirdly, Gerrit Ledderhof joins the asset manager as a responsible investment and public affairs manager from the Canadian Ministry of the Environment in Toronto. There, he was a project manager and team lead in the Ministry’s climate programs branch with responsibility for the development of climate-oriented policy, analysis and programmes to support the needs of Ontario’s provincial government. His previous roles included being a strategy manager at the Carbon Trust in London.
Roelie van Wijk-Russchen, Aegon AM’s global head of responsible business and public affairs, said the 12-strong team spanned Aegon’s asset management business, which includes Kames Capital and TKP Investments.
