Luxembourg is one of the EU’s – and the world’s – premiere centres for cross-border distribution of investment funds, with a decades-long history as a base for investment management firms across the globe that sell funds in Europe that are governed by the investor-friendly Ucits Regulation.

The Grand Duchy has also risen to play a major role in service provision for alternative investment funds that fall outside of the Ucits regime and which are distributed to professional investors.
