Amundi announces executive reshuffle

Five executive appointments have been made by Amundi, Europe’s largest asset manager, covering various country and departmental heads, all of which will be effective from January.

All but one have been promoted from within the company.

Christian Pellis is to become chief executive for Germany having formerly served as head of third-party distribution since 2013.

Xiaofeng Zhong has been promoted to chairman of Amundi Greater China having worked as chief executive, North Asia, since 2012.

From outside Amundi, Philippe d’Orgeval will become Amundi’s chief executive in the UK, a position he most recently held for rival French firm Axa Investment Management since 2016.

Meanwhile, Thierry Ancona has been promoted to head of third-party distribution from his position as deputy director of coverage, institutional and corporate.

The final appointment sees Laurent Guillet take on the role of head of solutions and services within the distribution and wealth division at Amundi’s Paris headquarters.
