Gold drives commodity ETF inflows

Commodity exchange-traded fund (ETF) flows in Europe rose 20% to the week ending September 21, according to Lyxor.

The asset class was the standout feature, Lyxor said, with a rise to €1.9 billion.

The rise was predominately driven by gold.

Elsewhere, Lyxor reported a 16% increase in fixed income turnover of €1.8 billion. Country activity, on the other hand, declined with falls in Dax-related trading volumes.
