Former Allianz Global Investors chief to join HSBC

Joachim Faber, the former chief executive officer of Allianz Global Investors, will join the board of HSBC Holdings on 1 March, according to the group’s annual report.

Faber stepped down from the management board of Allianz at the end of last year.

Another new addition to the board is John Lipsky.

He was previously first deputy managing director at the International Monetary Fund, a role from which he retired in November 2011.
