Capital Dynamics opens Tokyo office

Private equity firm Capital Dynamics is opening an office in Tokyo, Japan in an effort to extend its Asian reach.

The firm believes Japan offers a wealth of current and long-term investment potential. It has been active in Japan for some years and the new office will allow it to deepen its commitment to the market by becoming a member of the local business community.

The new office will be led by Kazushige Kobayashi. He said: “We have the opportunity to foster a strong foundation in Japan by cultivating the region’s abundant investment prospects and making our high-quality global products and services available locally.

“At the same time, we will be able to provide global investors with equally attractive opportunities to invest in Japan.”

Thomas Kubr, CEO of Capital Dynamics, said Kobayashi will help the firm further develop its network of relationships with high-quality regional private equity managers and will help support its expanding Japanese and East-Asian client base.

Prior to taking on the role at Capital Dynamics Kobayashi was president and CEO of Alternative Investment Capital.
