Artemis expands European equities capacity

Artemis is planning to expand the capacity in its existing European equity strategies and will also be launching a new fund investing in the asset class.

Subject to FSA approval, Artemis plans to launch the Ucits Artemis European Opportunities Fund, which will be managed by new hires Mark Page and Laurent Millet.

Page said the new fund, “will be an unconstrained, long-only vehicle focused on picking the best stocks from the wealth of opportunities that Europe offers the fundamental investor.”

Page and Millet will be joining Artemis from Liverpool Victoria Asset Management (LVAM) in early September.

They will be managing focused European, ex-UK, equity mandates, built using a fundamental stock-picking approach, for both Artemis’ retail and institutional clients. This is a new strategy that aims to complement Artemis’ current, quant-based European product.
