The merged asset management businesses of Russian firms Troika Dialog and Sberbank will be renamed Sberbank Asset Management.
The company will offer four new funds – an equity, a bond, a mixed and a precious metals fund – which are aimed at clients with a low appetite for risk. The company will continue to offer Troika Dialog’s product line.
Troika Dialog, an investment banking and asset management company based in Moscow, was acquired last March for a reported $1 billion by Sberbank, the largest bank in Russia, which is 50% owned by the Russian Central Bank.
Anton Rakhmanov, managing director of CJSC Sberbank Asset Management, says his task will be to adapt Troika Dialog’s products to Sberbank’s distribution network.
