Thomson Reuters unveils real estate indices

Thomson Reuters is to launch highly liquid real estate indices, designed to be tracked by exchange-traded funds (ETFs) or to measure performance.

These indices, a statement said, indices would provide a more investable and tradable solution than currently available elsewhere.

The new suite of real estate indices will provide a broad global diversification, including emerging markets.

These indices may be used to build real estate ETFs that represent the property market, to track real estate performance or for benchmarking purposes

The TR/GPR Global 100 Index will be composed of the 100 most liquid real estate stocks worldwide. In addition, there will be three regional variants –  the TR/GPR Americas 40 Index, the TR/GPR APAC 30 Index and the TR/GPR EMEA 30 Index.
