Stamford Associates appoints CEO

Stamford Associates, a UK investment consultancy, has created a chief executive role and appointed Alexandra Haggard from Russell Investments to the job.

Haggard is a former managing director, product and marketing, at Russell Investments covering Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In her 14-year career at Russell Investments Haggard also sat on the company’s European executive committee. Other roles she held there include director of product development and management, and positions in sales and client service.

Roger Cobley, chairman of Stamford Associates says Haggard will partner closely with Nathan Gelber, chief investment officer, who will retain responsibility for investment decisions.

Stamford recently appointed a head of business development, Guy Beech, to expand Stamford’s business in the UK and internationally.
