SGSS promotes Barroyer to Italy chief

Frédéric Barroyer SGSSSociete Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has promoted Frédéric Barroyer to chief executive officer (CEO) and country head in Italy. He replaces Jeanne Duvoux, who has another role within Societie Generale Group, so far unannounced. Barroyer reports to Bruno Prigent, global head of SGSS. A year ago Barroyer became deputy head of SGSS in Italy after a career with Societe Generale Group going back to Fimat, a subisidary, in Paris in 1993, and later becoming managing director of Societe Generale Fimat Asset Management in Ireland in 1994. He has also worked at Societe Generale Asset Management as head of financial operations and, in 2001, became chief operating officer of SGAM Japan. He was later CEO for Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) and in 2009 became CEO and country head of SGSS Deutschland in Germany. Prigent says: “Frédéric Barroyer will play an important role in continuing to develop our business in Italy, including our service offering designed for the recently launched European T2S settlement platform.” SGSS says the evolving regulatory and structural changes in the securities services industry in Europe present opportunities for a broader commercial offering. ©2015 funds europe
