SGSS launches Irish Ucits platform

Ireland mapSociete Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has launched an Irish Ucits platform called Gateway, which is designed to support asset managers that want to market Ucits funds in Europe. The announcement comes two days after SGSS announced a fund hub in Luxembourg aimed at providing global distribution. An investment fund structure, Gateway Ucits Funds Plc, sits at the centre of the offering, allowing managers to establish separate sub-funds. SGSS says the platform is more cost efficient than establishing a standalone fund. Funds would also benefit from additional services provided by Gateway such as audit and company secretary functions. ©2015 funds europe
