Russell Investments has appointed Mike Clark to the newly created role of head of responsible investment, in charge of promoting sustainable investment and work practices.
Clark has worked for the company since 1995 and was most recently a director in the Pension Solutions Group. He has worked on responsible investment alongside his other duties for some years but will now focus on the subject full time.
A spokesperson for the company says the move is part of a push for more responsible investment by the company, which is a signatory of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI).
“Mike has successfully led our Sustainability Council since its inception over three years ago when Russell became a UNPRI signatory,” says Pascal Duval, chief executive for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Russell Investments. “This appointment follows from that ongoing commitment.”
