Verrazzano Capital, founded by former Gartmore star manager Guillaume Rambourg, has launched a Luxembourg-domiciled Ucits fund investing in
companies listed in continental Europe.
The Verrazzano Advantage European Fund is the first long-only product offered to external investors, following two European equity long-short strategies launched last year for qualifying investors.
In a statement, Verrazzano Capital says the fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in the shares of companies listed in continental Europe.
Rambourg, who now holds the role of chief investment officer, was co-portfolio manager of the Gartmore European Selected Opportunities fund and the Gartmore Continental European fund. He also managed various AlphaGen hedge funds, including Capella, Tucana and Acamar.
