Principal Global Investors unveils income fund

Golden Gate BridgePrincipal Global Investors is to launch the Edge Equity Income fund, which will be managed by its affiliate Edge Asset Management. The Dublin registered Ucits-compliant fund aims to provide income, targeting dividend-paying US large-cap companies with a market capitalisation of above $7 billion (€5.5 billion).
Dan Coleman, head of equities and portfolio manager of the fund, said: “The Edge Equity Income Fund aims to identify high quality, attractively valued and well managed companies with the potential to grow their dividend over time to give investors access to a long-term, sustainable income stream and capital growth.” ©2012 funds europe
