Old Mutual Wealth appoints non-execs

Old Mutual Wealth Management, the holding company for Skandia and Old Mutual Global Investors, has appointed three independent non-executive directors including the past chief executive of Threadneedle.

Simon Davies, who is chairman of the JP Morgan Overseas Investment Trust, has held senior roles at Gartmore – the UK fund manager acquired by Henderson Global Investors in 2011 – and more recently was chairman and chief executive officer at Threadneedle.

Ashok Gupta, previously an operating partner at Pearl group, is also a non-executive director at JP Morgan European Smaller Companies Investment Trust.

Jane Hanson was previously risk and governance director at Aviva and a director at KPMG.

All three appointments are for an initial term of three years, save for Gupta whose term is for one year to provide continuity from the former holding company board of Skandia Life to the board of Old Mutual Wealth.

Old Mutual Wealth oversees £75.2 billion (€88.7 billion) in customer investments, as at 30 June 2013.
