Old Mutual expands its international distribution team

Asset manager Old Mutual Global Investors has appointed Simon Barrett as head of Middle East and Nordic distribution.

Barrett will be based at the firm’s Edinburgh office and will report to Allan MacLeod, head of international distribution.

His most recent position was director, international sales and client service at Martin Currie Investment Management.

With over 20 years experience working in the Nordic region, Barrett has worked as head of Nordic sales at Allianz Dresdner asset management. He has also held roles at Friends Provident International and Lawrence Morton & Co. He started his career in 1988 at Pegasus Financial Services.

Old Mutual Global Investors has $35 billion in assets under management as at March 31, this year.
