Newton Investment Management, part of BNY Mellon, has appointed of Henrietta Jowitt and Susan Noble (pictured) as independent non-executive directors to its board.
Jowitt and Noble are the first independent non-executive directors appointed by Newton. They will join the existing board of seven executive directors and two BNY Mellon directors.
Noble has over two decades of experience in investment management, including key roles at Robert Fleming Asset Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. She is currently non-executive director of British Empire Securities, General Trust and Alliance Trust.
Jowitt has held a number of senior marketing roles within the financial services industry, including positions at private equity house Advent International and asset manager Schroders. Most recently, she founded Rotation Point, a business strategy and change consultancy.
Helena Morrissey, chief executive of Newton, which has assets under management of £51.2 billion (€70.9 billion), says of the appointments: “They each bring distinct skills to complement the existing board and will enhance both our governance and Newton’s ability to achieve sustainable growth.”
