Vector Capital acquires Aspect Software

US private equity company Vector Capital is to acquire Aspect Software, a provider of workforce optimisation and customer engagement technology.

Under the agreement, Vector Capital expects to invest more than US$100 million (€87.4 million) of equity capital. Aspect’s existing creditors will continue to support the company via a new credit facility that will be triggered on close of the deal, which is expected during the first quarter of 2019.

Vector Capital managing director Andy Fishman said that the acquisition would give his firm exposure to the significant growth opportunities that exist in the customer engagement centre marketplace.

Chris Koziol, president and chief executive of Aspect Software, said that the merger would be a good fit for his Arizona-based technology company.

“Vector Capital brings substantial operational and financial resources, along with a proven track record of helping enterprise software companies to accelerate their innovation and to invest in new products,” he said.
