A US-based risk and performance analysis provider, Markov Processes International (MPI), says it has added to its London office to increase the firm’s European service.
The firm has hired Bijan Foroodian as managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea). Foroodian takes on overall responsibility for the MPI business across the region.
Prior to MPI, Foroodian was chief investment officer for Inflection Point Capital Management. He developed equity valuation models which “synthesized traditional fundamental and quantitative inputs with sustainability factors”, according to MPI.
In the past, among other firms Foroodian has worked at Innovest and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he was vice president of quantitative research in London and Tokyo.
Michael Markov, CEO and co-founder of MPI, said Foroodian’s addition was central to the firm’s growth and development plans for the Emea market.
