Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust names lead manager

The Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust has appointed Chetan Sehgal as lead global portfolio manager.

Based in Singapore, Sehgal is currently senior managing director and responsible for overseeing Franklin Templeton’s global emerging markets strategy.

He will take over from Carlos Hardenberg who leaves the company next month to pursue other opportunities.

David Holder, senior manager research analyst at Morningstar, said: “We believe shareholders remain in safe hands here, but are maintaining our current neutral analyst rating.”
