Stone Harbor promotes staff for “next generation” of leadership

Stone Harbor, a credit specialist, has appointed a co-chief investment officer from within its ranks.

Jim Craige retains his role as head of emerging markets but also becomes co-CIO alongside Peter Wilby. The two have worked together as portfolio managers since 1992.

Craige’s is among a number of other promotions at the firm, which invests in emerging market credits, global high yield credit, and multi-sector credits.

Marianne Rossi and William Perry have been appointed co-heads of Stone Harbor’s global high yield team, with responsibility for both the developed and emerging market sectors of the asset class.

Matt Kearns is to be co-manager of US high yield portfolios; Matt Cottingham will co-manage European high yield; and Hunter Schwarz will co-manage bank loans.

Wilby said the appointments were partly about continuity of leadership as the business moves forward.
