Stone Harbor launches emerging markets debt strategy

New York-based Stone Harbor Investment Partners, which has an office in London, has launched a total return emerging markets debt strategy.

The strategy will be run on a concentrated, high-conviction, unconstrained basis and will primarily invest in fixed-income securities.

“The EM Explorer Strategy aims to provide opportunities for investing in improving credit stories, monetary policy cycles, attractive foreign exchange valuation themes and technically-related undervalued credit,” said portfolio manager Kumaran Damodaran.

Stone Harbor Investment Partners LP is a global institutional fixed-income investment manager specializing in credit and asset allocation strategies.

Founded in 2006, Stone Harbor employs over 140 people in New York, Chicago, London, Melbourne and Singapore.
