State Street hires pensions strategist for Northern Europe

Asset management business State Street Global Advisors has hired Jacqueline Lommen as senior defined contribution (DC) pensions strategist for Northern Europe.

Lommen will be based in Amsterdam for the newly-created role and will report to Alistair Byrne, head of investment strategy .

She will be responsible for pioneering the development of the Northern European DC business with a particular focus on the Netherlands and cross-border initiatives.

She joins from Robeco Asset Management where she was senior vice-president of European pensions, responsible for the growth of its institutional pension asset management business in the Netherlands and across Europe.

Lommen has previously worked at Dutch pension supervisor, De Nederlandsche Bank, where she worked on the development and implementation of several European and Dutch regulations, including the Solvency II regulations.

She has also worked at Dutch pension giant Aegon as head of corporate and institutional clients, head of research and as corporate economist.
