State Street appoints managing director for alternatives

US funds giant State Street has appointed Geoff Pullen to the position of managing director for the alternatives investment sector for the Emea region.

In the newly-created role, Pullen will focus on driving the execution of the team’s regional sales strategy across hedge and private equity fund clients.

Based in London, he will report into Maria Cantillon, head of sector solutions for Emea.

With 16 years’ experience of the industry, Pullen joins State Street from Standard Chartered where he led transaction banking and securities services sales to European alternative and traditional asset managers.

He previously held senior sales roles at both HSBC Securities Services and BNP Paribas.
