Standard Life Investments (SLI) has launched a cross-border version of its MyFolio Multi-Manager suite, which has raised £1.84 billion (€2.10 million) in assets for the firm since its UK launch in 2010.
The Edinburgh-based firm has launched the suite, which consists of five multi-asset and multi-manager funds, through a Luxembourg Sicav that is now available in Luxembourg and Germany.
The multi-manager suite is part of a wider MyFolio range, which has raised £10 billion in the UK since the 2010 launch. The Edinburgh-based firm said the complete MyFolio range – which comprises “carefully constructed risk-based portfolios” across five different levels of risk – is one of its fastest growing fund ranges.
The funds invest in a globally diversified portfolio. Analysis of fund documents for the UK version shows that Multi-Manager III is the most popular fund within the multi-manager range, with £744.4 million of assets.
This fund’s highest allocation of just over 10% of its AUM was to SLI’s own popular Global Absolute Returns Strategies.
Lead managers for the multi-manager portfolios are Joe Wiggins, fund manager and James Millard, investment director. Both are part of SLI’s fund solutions team.
Millard said: “In the current low growth, low return environment, it is the right time to launch the multi-manager range in Germany, so that investors can benefit from active management and diversification across 16 different asset classes.”
SLI’s head of sales for Germany is Frank Richter, who said the firm was seeing increased demand for a “risk-targeted” solution across the retail market, whether individuals or banks.
The assets under management figures, the latest from the firm, were correct at November 2016.
