Standard Life Investments launches global equity impact fund

Edinburgh-based Standard Life Investments has launched its first impact product, the Global Equity Impact Fund.

The fund, co-managed by Sarah Norris and Dominic Byrne, will use the United Nation’s 17 sustainable development goals as a framework to ensure the companies in which the fund invests are having a positive impact.

Norris said: “Asset owners are looking to embrace impact investing but lack appropriate investment solutions.

“The UN’s sustainable development goals provide a common language for impact solutions that help unlock impact investing for mainstream investors.”

The fund will have a high-conviction portfolio of 35-60 stocks.
