Schroders unveils emerging markets equity fund

Schroders has launched an emerging markets equity fund which provides exposure to fast growing markets through a high conviction strategy.

The Schroder ISF Emerging Markets Equity Alpha will be managed by Robert Davy and Waj Hashmi who will be supported by a team of 45 investment professionals in London, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

The fund will focus on 40 to 60 of the team’s highest conviction stock ideas from across the emerging markets universe. The process is bottom-up and style agnostic.

Davy and Hashmi said that emerging markets were currently benefiting from rapid industrialisation, urbanisation, the adoption of new technologies and strong global growth.

Schroders had €488.3 billion in assets under management on 30 September 2017.
