Schroders has hired a former BlackRock fixed income product specialist to focus on its credit business.
Sriram Reddy (pictured) joins Schroders as an investment director in London to help design purpose-built credit strategies.
He spent over a decade at BlackRock, joining what was originally Barclays Global Investors in 2005, where he has built experience in portfolio management and institutional sales.
Since 2011, Reddy was a global fixed income product strategist, focused on institutional clients.
He reports to Jonathan Harris, who is investment director for pan-European and global credit strategies. Harris said: “We are always looking at ways in which we can improve the investment outcomes of our clients through credit, and the hire of Sriram expands our ability to do that.”
Schroders manages £447.0 billion (€503.6 billion) of assets and around £78.1 billion is in fixed income strategies, about a fifth of the firm’s total.
