Sarasin expands its private wealth team

Sarasin and Partners has strengthened its private client operations with the appointment of Stephen Rothwell as business partner.

This is a new position that the London-based asset manager has created in a restructuring of its private client business, having promoted five staff to become partners in January.

Based in London, he will report to Jamie Black, Sarasin’s head of private clients.

Rothwell joins Sarasin from Edmond de Rothschild, where he was head of private merchant banking.

Beginning his wealth management career in 1996 at Mercury Asset Management, Rothwell has also held senior roles at Kleinwort Benson and Schroders Private Banking.
