Sanlam UK, a wealth management firm, has made three appointments including that of Charlie Parker, formerly of Neptune.
Along with Paula Eddery and Katrina Usher, Sanlam has made the appointments to extend its wealth division and “deliver even better client outcomes”.
Funds Europe reported yesterday that Parker had left Neptune to join Sanlam, which is a client of Neptune. Parker was head of distribution at the asset manager.
He will join Sanlam in November, and will work closely with John White, head of wealth, to help grow the business.
White, who is CEO of Sanlam’s wealth division, said the firm has “exacting targets” for growth.
Eddery joined in May and is a portfolio manager based in London and South East regional manager. She was previously head of investments at Thomas Miller.
Usher also joined in May and is national head of financial planning. Part of her brief is to grow the financial planning team. She joins from AJ Gallgaher.
Among its services, Sanlam provides support to financial advisers and the group also announced a partnership programme after Sanlam UK went through a re-structuring under Jonathan Polin, who took over as group CEO at the end of 2015. Non-core business units have been closed down and a new client investment proposition is being rolled out.
Polin said: “These appointments come at an exciting time for the group as we have just completed our strongest quarter with our financial planning business writing the highest ever new business.
“We are developing innovative solutions and adopting new technologies to enhance our existing business and ready our partnership programme to be relevant and attractive to quality advisers.”
