Russell names business director for Benelux

Seattle-based Russell Investments has appointed Maarten Roeleveld as business development director for the Benelux countries.

With responsibility for the development of the firm’s institutional investment activities in the Benelux region, Roeleveld will focus on multi-asset investment solutions as well as transition management and currency overlays services.

For the past decade, Roeleveld has worked at Northern Trust as a sales manager for asset servicing, fund administration and outsourcing to professional investors.

Based in Russell’s Amsterdam office, Roeleveld will report to Martijn Kuipers, managing director for northern Europe.

“Maarten brings to Russell Investments a wealth of knowledge about the Benelux market and has a deep understanding of the challenges professional investors face,” Kuipers said.

“His knowledge and experience are a valuable addition to the existing team, and we believe his arrival will increase our strength in the market to deliver desired outcomes to existing and new customers.”

Russell Investments has more than US$296 billion (€240 billion) in assets under management.
