Robeco adds to its executive committee

Dutch-based asset manager Robeco has hired two executive committee members including Martin Nijkamp, who joins from NN Investment Partners (NNIP) as head of strategic product and business development.

Nijkamp was a member of NNIP’s management team from 2008 to 2017 with responsibility for business strategy, which included retail defined contribution, product management and product development.

Robeco has also appointed Maureen Bal as company secretary to focus on legal affairs and compliance. Before joining Robeco, she was director of corporate affairs and general counsel at APX Holding, and a member of the management team.

Robeco’s chief executive officer, Gilbert Van Hassel, said the appointments strengthened Robeco’s executive committee.

“Martin is someone who gets things done, thanks to his perseverance and strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Maureen brings with her excellent management skills and a broad perspective,” said Van Hassel.
