A Qatari firm and US firm have both appointed custodians to service Irish funds, both active and passive.
Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) is to provide custody and related services to QNB Suisse, part of Qatar National Bank, for its Ucits-compliant umbrella fund, QNB Global Funds.
The Irish collective asset management vehicle, or Icav, has two sub-funds. One is an ETF investing in India’s consumption theme; the other an active fund investing in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena).
The funds are called QNB ZyFin India Consumption Ucits ETF and QNB Mena Fund.
In a separate appointment, Chiron Investment Management, which has headquarters in New York City and Kansas City, selected RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS) as custodian and fund administrator for the Chiron Global Opportunities Ucits Fund.
RBC I&TS will also provide analytics and treasury services.
Enrico Gaglioti, co-founder and CEO of Chiron Investment Management, said RBC I&TS had a strong record in supporting US asset managers, which influenced the appointment.
