RBC hires regulatory chief for Europe and Asia-Pacific

RBC Investor & Treasury Services has appointed Wendy Phillis as managing director, governance and regulatory solutions for Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Phillis, who will work in RBC’s London office, joins the firm from ICAP where she was group chief risk and compliance officer, responsible for establishing the firm’s global risk management strategy and operating model.

Previously, Phillis spent over 16 years with State Street where she rose to become chief operating officer for global markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

RBC’s governance and regulatory solutions group specialises in managing risk, meeting regulatory obligations and providing service offerings that meet their strategic objectives.

Andrea Horton, RBC’s global head of governance and regulatory solutions, said: “Wendy’s expertise will be of critical importance in ensuring our services continue to support our clients’ needs against the backdrop of regulatory change.”
