London-based Quilter Cheviot has appointed Nick Holmes as managing director, replacing Andrew McGlone.
Holmes joins from investment firm Brooks Macdonald where he has spent his entire career to date, starting as a trainee investment manager 22 years ago. From 2008 to 2018, he led the company’s investment management business.

This year to date, a total of 14 investment managers have joined Quilter Cheviot, which manages £24.1 billion (€26 billion) in assets and operates out of offices across the UK and abroad.
The asset manager focuses primarily on structuring and managing bespoke discretionary portfolios for private clients, charities, trusts, pension funds and intermediaries, according to the firm
Quilter Cheviot dates its heritage back to 1771. It is one of the UK’s largest discretionary investment firms, it said.
