Northern Trust hires new chief operating officer

Northern Trust Asset Management has appointed Martha Fee as chief operating officer for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific (Emea and Apac).

Fee replaces Eleanor Fitzgerald who has moved to Singapore as the firm’s chief risk officer for Asia Pacific.

Based in London, Fee will be responsible for managing international operations and infrastructure teams.

She will report to Wayne Bowers, chief executive of Northern Trust Asset Management, Emea and Apac.

Bowers said Northern Trust’s international business continued to expand its investment capabilities, client service platform and range of pooled fund vehicles and Fee’s appointment would continue to drive growth and diversification of its products across the regions.

Fee joins Northern Trust Asset Management after two years at Northern Trust’s global fund services. Before joining Northern Trust in 2015, she spent ten years at Janus Capital International.
