Northern Trust creates sustainability role in Amsterdam

Valeria Dinershteyn has joined Northern Trust Asset Management in a newly created role as sustainable investing strategist.

Dinershteyn, who is based in Amsterdam, has joined the firm from Kempen Capital Management, where she held a similar role working with clients implementing responsible investment strategies.

At Northern Trust AM she will “help educate investors on innovations in the ever-evolving landscape of sustainable investing and ESG strategies”, the firm said.

Marie Dzanis (pictured), regional head of Northern Trust AM, said investor demand for sustainable investment strategies remained strong among pension schemes in Europe, Australia and North America.

Dinershteyn holds a master’s degree in financial management from Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands and a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and social studies from St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in Russia.
