Neuberger Berman hires senior advisor

Investment house Neuberger Berman has appointed Leen Meijaard as a senior advisor in its London office.

In his new post Meijaard will act as a consultant, advising on European and Middle Eastern institutional business and working alongside Dik van Lomwel, head of Emea and LatAm.

Meijaard was previously a member of BlackRock’s Emea executive committee and held managing director roles at the firm, including most recently head of Emea iShares and, before that, as head of BlackRock Emea Institutional.

Before joining BlackRock in 2002 he worked for Fidelity and Robeco.

Van Lomwel said: “Leen has a wealth of experience of the asset management and pension fund industries across Emea and will look to leverage his deep knowledge of the markets, local environments and extensive networks as we broaden our institutional reach.”
