Nava Finance appoints chief technology officer

UK-based Nava Finance has appointed Andrew Jones as its chief technology officer (CTO).

The firm is launching a consumer lending platform early next year which, among other aspects, seeks to address institutional investors’ search for yield from well underwritten risks.

Jones has 30 years’ global financial services IT experience, primarily in the securities sales and trading operations of global investment banks, including Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Macquarie Group.

He began his career as a developer at Morgan Stanley in New York in 1985. Two years later he moved to London where he ultimately managed the development and support of Morgan Stanley’s global foreign exchange sales and trading platform.

In 2010 he joined Deutsche Bank as CTO of its Asia Pacific equity division and. following this, Andrew was appointed Global CTO at Macquarie Securities.

The firm hopes that Jones’ experience in delivery and ongoing operational roles will aid Nava as it transitions from development and testing of its platform to full consumer launch.
