Natixis IM platform used for US affiliate fund launch

Natixis Investment Management (Natixis IM) has launched an emerging markets equity fund from US-based affiliate WCM Investment Management (WCM).

The fund, domiciled in Luxembourg, uses an actively-managed bottom-up approach to identify companies with attractive fundamentals, the firm said.

Managed by the WCM emerging markets team – comprised of Mike Trigg, Pete Hunkel, Sanjay Ayer, Mike Tian, and Greg Ise – the Global Emerging Markets Equity Fund is open to both institutional and retail investors.

Matt Shafer, international head of wholesale distribution at Natixis IM, said: “The fund provides investors with a diversification tool from other equity markets, helping build portfolios to navigate different market conditions.”

California-headquartered WCM, which manages $42.6 billion (€38.7 billion), formed a global distribution partnership with Natixis IM in April this year.

This fund is the first WCM strategy to be launched on Natixis IM’s platform.
