Muzinich hires responsible investing head

New York-based investment house Muzinich & Co has appointed Archie Beeching to the newly-created role of director of responsible investing.

In the London-based role Beeching will focus on integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies into the firm’s investment process, liaising with investors and companies and broadening the firm’s ESG-based initiatives across public and private debt markets.

Beeching joins from the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment where he spent seven years, initially leading on fixed income and latterly as head of private markets.

Tatjana Greil-Castro, portfolio manager, said: “Muzinich was an early adopter in incorporating ESG criteria into client portfolios.

“Archie’s appointment marks a further significant step in our commitment to providing ESG-based solutions for our clients, as well as engaging with corporate issuers and other stakeholders on ESG considerations.”
