Muzinich appoints Swiss country head

Martin Gut has become country head of Switzerland for fund manager Muzinich & Co.

He is responsible for overseeing Muzinich’s institutional and wholesale areas of the Swiss market, where the firm established a presence in 2013.

Gut (pictured) said he was looking forward to working with the firm’s clients on corporate credit solutions.

Before joining Muzinich, Gut held roles in relationship management with Swiss Prime Site, BlackRock and Credit Suisse Asset Management.

“Switzerland is one of the firm’s key markets,” said George Muzinich, chairman and chief executive officer. “Martin’s experience in asset management and his local network will further strengthen our long-term commitment to and future growth in Switzerland.”

Muzinich, which was founded in New York in 1988, has US$33.5 billion (€28.6 billion) of assets under management (at July 31).
