Securities settlement firm Euroclear has appointed Guillaume Eliet as head of regulatory compliance and public affairs, a newly created division designed to strengthen policy strategy across the Euroclear group.
Eliet was previously at the French stock market authority, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), where he headed the regulation policy and international affairs division. Prior to that, he was head of the AMF’s asset management directorate.
Eliet will report to Lieve Mostrey, chief executive of the Euroclear group and Inge Boets, chair of the audit committee.
Eliet’s post at the AMF will be filled by Natasha Cazenave, who joined the authority in 2010 as a senior policy officer.
Cazenave began her career at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance before spending eight years working at Deminor, a consultancy firm that specialises in the defence of minority shareholders rights.
She holds a master’s degree from the Paris Dauphine University in banking, finance and insurance.
