Geneva-based SYZ Asset Management has appointed William Nott as its new chief executive.
Nott, currently head of London-based M&G Securities, will take up his new role with SYZ Asset Management in January when he will also become a member of the executive committee of the SYZ banking group as well as a shareholder of SYZ Asset Management.
He will replace Katia Coudray who stepped down as chief executive of SYZ Asset Management.
During Nott’s time as chief executive and chairman of M&G Securities, the firm’s assets under management grow from £11.7billion (€13 billion) in 2006 to £80.1 billion.
He has been a board member of the European Fund and Asset Management Association since 2013 and president since 2017.
Eric Syz, chief executive of SYZ Group, said: “The SYZ Group is immensely pleased to have a proven leader like William Nott join the organisation.
“His track record in business development, asset management, corporate governance and strategic leadership make him a great match for the SYZ Asset Management position and a fantastic addition to the group.”
