Mayfair Capital hires manager for Swiss Life real estate business

Mayfair Capital Investment Management, a subsidiary of Swiss Life Asset Management, has hired Maureen Mahr von Staszewski into a newly created role to lead Swiss Life’s pan-European investments.

Based in London, Mahr von Staszewski will work on property funds that Swiss Life plans to launch with investments from Swiss Life and third-parties.

Mahr von Staszewski, who has worked on other pan-European property strategies and joins from Cromwell Property, said: “In an era where real estate performance is increasingly defined by fast evolving thematic changes, both macro and local, successful investment requires a depth of resources in research, transacting and management – as well as a long-term alignment of interest from significant balance sheet co-investment by managers.”

Swiss Life Asset Management’s real estate portfolio has about €72.2 billion under management and administration.
