Martin Currie’s Jamie Skinner becomes property trust non-exec

Martin Currie’s Jamie Skinner has become a non-executive director of a UK real estate investment trust.

He joins Ediston Property Investment Company, which invests in UK commercial property.

Skinner is co-head of Europe, Middle East and Africa client service at Edinburgh-based fund manager Martin Currie and has responsibility for the investment trust business.

Skinner is also a director of the Martin Currie Japan Absolute Return Fund and prior to joining Martin Currie, he worked as a corporate broker with Cazenove for ten years.

William Hill, Edison chairman, said:  “Jamie’s experience in the investment trust sector and his previous background in corporate finance will be invaluable as we move forward with our plans to grow the company further.  His appointment means the board composition is restored to that at the launch of the company, an intention highlighted in the last report and accounts.”
