Marlborough Fund Managers hires income fund co-manager

Manchester-based Marlborough Fund Managers has made Andrew Moffat co-manager of the Marlborough Extra Income Fund.

His appointment follows the £58 million (€63.7 million) fund’s move at the start of May from the UK equity and bond sector to the mixed investment sector.

He will work alongside Matthew Rainbird and Nigel Beidas, who have co-managed the fund for more than eight years.

Moffat previously managed the Royal London UK Growth Trust.

Wayne Green, joint managing director of Marlborough Fund Managers, said: “His appointment comes at an exciting stage in the fund’s evolution. The sector move broadens the range of assets in which it can invest, while also bringing the fund into a higher-profile sector, where it will be on the radar of more investors.”
